okay, so...

bleeghhh... i need to adjust to using a scanner again.

it's probably good i didn't do any watercoloring on it in the end.

also, my drawings lately seem to be getting simpler and simpler, to a point of redundancy.

it's what i get for pulling too many late nights at a job where i draw all day, i guess.

in any case, this is my contribution to the month. i really loved Dr. Suess when i was young, but now i'm not too sure how i feel about the look at times. i think Thing 1 and Thing 2 are kind of creepy, looking back at them.....although, it could be worse: http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/merchandiser/18877.jpg

i'm posting! this was something i drew weeks ago. it doesn't really count, but i can't find the other one i had. gimme a sec, 'cause i need to dig through some papers and hook up my new scanner (which i bought, like, 2 months ago now).

i'm so glad people have been posting abit again! i feel like such a failure to the blog!

AAAHH!!! REAL MONSTERS me

I've been watching an obscene amount of Aaahh!!! Real Monsters and decided to draw myself as a klasky chupo monster. Gave her more of a monster-like name. I don't know if they have umlauts in the monster world. (probably do)

P.S., did you know that the ARM monsters all have two uvulas? I don't know why, but I find that adorable.

Hey look Marina, I finally did one!

so i got this far and then i didnt care anymore. i wanted to do a redesign that kept the innocence since they sexualized strawberry shortcake. but i think if i ever draw her again i will do post apocalypse rainbow bright to make up for it. barf barf barf

cant have gumby without pokey yeah i guess he didnt change that much. oh well. i fail at this redesign.

the month of june

so lets try and do a fresh start by doing call backs from our past.
new topic for june is redesign characters we grew up with. think Gumby or ninja turtles or Strawberry short cake. how about Muppets or HR puffin stuff. characters from books are cool too, Amelia Bedelia or even freaking martin the warrior. so lets have some fun this month being nostalgic and shit.
